If you're finding yourself with nothing to do, we've got you covered. San Antonio has a lot for you to watch, learn, shop, and give this weekend.
Watch
For some culture, check out the annual Barshop JCC Jewish Film Festival. It will be taking place at the Santikos Palladium IMAX from Saturday until Wednesday, featuring eleven different movies. You can buy a festival pack for $80 or see individual movies for $8. $8.
Give
Enjoy the sunny weather on Saturday by working at a community garden. Wellness organization Gardopia will be hosting a garden workday on the Eastside from 10 AM - noon. No experience or gardening knowledge is required, just some helping hands. This is a great way to give back to your city and get outside. For more information, check out their Facebook event. Free.
Learn
Kick some ass this weekend at a Women's Self Defense Seminar. This workshop is hosted by The Rape Crisis Center and STW Krav Maga and will cover a variety of scenarios, including parking lot attacks and domestic violence. Come in workout clothes and ready to move. $25 or $20 with a student ID (proceeds go to The Rape Crisis Center).
Shop
Check out the girl power Shop Rare Marketplace happening this weekend at the Blue Star Arts Complex. This edition of Shop Rare will not only highlight female artists and business owners, but also donate some proceeds to women's organizations. Find more information Facebook. Free.
