Halloween and pumpkin spice lattes aside, October 2017 is already shaping up to be a noteworthy month in the world of music.  Mala Luna Festival, taking place this year on October 28th and 29th at Nelson Wolff Stadium, has released limited time back-to-school 2-day general admission tickets for the low, low price of $109.  Headliners include Future, Lil Wayne, Wiz Khalifa, and Migos.  Tickets and more information are available here.

Additionally, Angel Deradoorian announced her new mini-album yesterday, Eternal Recurrence. The album will be her first solo release since 2015's The Expanding Flower Planet.  Eternal Recurrence is scheduled to drop on October 6th, but you can listen to its first single, "Mountainside," below.

In anticipation of another eagerly-awaited fall release, Kurt Vile and Courtney Barnett have graced the internet with a music video for "Over Everything," the opening track from their upcoming collaborative LP Lotta Sea Lice, out on October 13th.  Lotta Sea Lice includes original tracks such as "Over Everything," but also features covers of Belly, Jen Cloher, and more. You can watch Danny Cohen's stoner rock masterpiece in all its glory below, or catch Kurt and Courtney at the Moody Theater in Austin on November 11th.

Some other tidbits:

--Taylor Swift's questionably contrived vanity project, "Look What You Made Me Do," has been selling like trash hot cakes and is slated to top Billboard's Hot 100 singles chart this week, to the surprise of no one.  VICE has done a wonderful piece on the Canadian goth angle.

--Thee Oh Sees/just Oh Sees have once again announced another name change to OCS for their next album, Memory of a Cut Off Head, which seems to defeat the purpose of having a phonetic name in the first place.  Memory of a Cut Off Head, out on November 17th, will mark the OCS/Oh Sees/Thee Oh Sees' 20th album release.

--Win Butler, the not-super-funny frontman of Arcade Fire, has created a mockumentary on his songwriting process with parody website ClickHole, the true funniness of which has yet to be determined.  Watch below.
